TRIBUTE TO THE GREAT POLISH NATION

November 11 is a special day in the life of every Pole in the motherland and around the world. Today they celebrate their regained independence, their victory over oppression, the fact that on this day in 1918, after 123 years, Poland became a sovereign state again.

The destinies of the Hungarians and the Poles were intertwined over the centuries, the history of the two nations became one at many points. Stanisław Worcell, who was Kossuth's inseparable companion during his emigration to London, wrote about it: "Hungary and Poland are two eternal oaks, which grew separate trunks, but whose roots run far underground, connected and invisibly intertwined."

"All those who believe in God as the source of truth, justice, good and beauty" - as stated in Poland's constitution - consider the 21st century important. even in the 20th century, the values ​​that guided the great nations through the tormenting difficulties and trying challenges of the past centuries. These values, the insistence on self-identity and the unconditional respect for independence are sentiments from the heart that neither our Polish friends nor we Hungarians are willing to let go of.

On this significant day, we pay respect to the great Polish nation, think fondly of our friends with whom we have been fighting shoulder to shoulder for a decade and assure them of our unconditional loyalty, no matter what difficulties we face in the coming decades.
