An open letter
Excerpt: INVITED LETTER TO THE PRESIDENTS OF THE EUROPEAN COMMISSION AND EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT!OPEN LETTER TO THE PRESIDENTS OF THE EUROPEAN COMMISSION AND EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT!
Dear Madam President Ursula von der Leyen!
Dear President David Sassoli!
You, as the leaders of the two defining basic institutions of the European Union, monitor the political processes in the member states, including in Hungary, ex officio. Our country has been a kind of "battlefield state" for almost ten years, of course, not the elected leaders, nor the broad masses who support them, but, in our opinion, primarily the external and internal forces that regard our country and the nation as enemies, and at the same time constantly want to crush the Christian-democratic-conservative legitimate course. as a result of an experimental pressure exercise. It should be noted that one of the main tools of these groups (parties, NGOs) is the disinformation campaign, the primary goal of which is to discredit and discredit the Hungarian nation in part in the eyes of the EU institutions and their leaders.
As a manifestation of this latter intention, we appreciate that the leaders of six parliamentary and non-parliamentary opposition parties sent an open letter to the institutions of the Union, in which the mentioned left-wing politicians envision a one-party system and try to set the national government, which has been legally elected three times by a convincing majority, and its legitimate prime minister against the Hungarian people as usual can be said with untrue and half-truthful statements.
It is difficult for the vast majority of Hungarians to bear the fact that the European Parliament, the social liberal representatives who join forces with the Hungarian opposition, attack the decisions of our parliament elected under legitimate and democratic conditions, are driven by political interest, disregard the EU's legislation of common value, and turn it against our country. Our organization, which is the main organizer of the hundreds of thousands of peace marches in Hungary, once again feels the need to show the unchanged strength of the Hungarian citizens, by standing up for the sovereignty of the people, the rule of law and democracy, after the end of the COVID epidemic. It is inevitable that we take action against the activities of the liar Ferenc Gyurcsány, which disrupts the EU's federal system and integrates dwarf opposition parties. It is a serious mistake to take seriously the messages of the power-mad, fallen prime minister of the DK, who played a fool with the Union's institutional system between 2002-2010, and the denunciations of vulnerable ordinary figures of the dwarf parties who joined him.
The Civil Solidarity Forum and the Civil Solidarity Non-profit Foundation, as the dominant civil umbrella organization of the Hungarian national community, together with the European Civil Cooperation Council, resolutely rejects the deceitful and untrue endeavor that seeks to create the appearance that the fragmented, conflict-ridden, most recent the left-wing opposition, which collapsed in the interim parliamentary elections, could form the right to hold a dialogue on behalf of all Hungarian people, either with the leadership of the EU or its sovereign member states. This is not only ridiculous, it also lacks any kind of public law and public policy reality.
As our Basic Law enshrines, we national civilians are also proud of the fact that our people defended Europe in battles for centuries and increased its common values with their talent and diligence. We also believe that the state self-determination lost on March 19, 1944, will be restored from May 2, 1990, from the establishment of the first freely elected representative of the people. Most of the opposition forces in Hungary, who today present themselves as the "democratic opposition", started their political career partly along the lines of the National Socialist and partly the state socialist ideology, committing crimes that cannot be statute-barred, including with regard to the EU's core values.
Based on the above, we trust that the Honorable Madam President and the Honorable Mr. President will approach with sufficient criticism any initiative that seeks to divide the Hungarian nation and mislead Europe. Although it is possible that our civil society, which has extensive mass support that is also visible at the peace marches in Hungary, is not on the same ideological platform on certain issues, we can be sure that we are interested in the survival of a successful European Union made up of common, strong member states on the basis of fairness, wisdom and sound judgement. , where external harmful political and economic, including speculative financial influence attempts, as well as internal actions aimed at the integrity of the Union and its actual division, must be relegated to the background.
Budapest, November 19, 2020.
Sincerely,
On behalf of the Civil Solidarity Public Foundation and the Civil Solidarity Forum
