Dr. László Csizmadia's message to the citizens of Europe
Civics, a science that searches for answers to questions about the fate of citizens, can become the auxiliary science of politics serving the public good. The basis of this presumably new discipline is the principle of popular sovereignty.
Assuming democratic conditions, the parliamentary elections and the EP elections put the shaping of their lives in the hands of the citizens every cycle. In the competition between parties that differ in their ideals, the voting determines the order according to which the majority will of the people is followed by the formation of the government.
The decision of the citizens of the countries is an authorization to serve the public good. During the European Union elections, representatives are needed who conscientiously follow the interests of the nations gathered in the alliance.
We boldly refer to the specificities of national interests and urge patience during the application and interpretation of EU law, especially with regard to the application of equal standards. To this end, we recommend taking into account the peculiarities of our era and the phenomena ripe for legislation and introducing the necessary reforms based on that.
The historically verifiable progressive spirit of civil civilization cannot be tied up by any conspiracy of individual or small-group globalist interests that aspire to world power.
Europe is living through a historic period, events have accelerated in the last five years, but the EU bureaucracy, which is not used to this, has shown itself to be slow and overly politicized. The citizens of Europe are being tested by new challenges. We are the ones who feel first-hand the dangers of modern migration, growing terrorism and the open society imposed on us. It became clear that the Greek Judeo-Christian civilization was targeted by conquering forces several times in a thousand years.
In a situation of danger, the unity of equal nations once again became a priority in Europe. The sovereignty of countries and peoples, the preservation of identity, and subsidiarity, as the source of classical democracy, cannot be overridden by the different ideals of politically motivated parties.
Reality is reflected in events. Every day, the citizens of Europe are faced with the deterioration of their living standards. In recent years, our representatives, suffering from the intoxication of power, have become disconnected from their constituents. They think they carry the Philosopher's Stone in their pockets - respect for the exception.
The governments of some countries, the European Parliament and the European Commission act as cannonballs loose on the fate of their citizens, without authorization their law6 brings civic (m) values and implements measures. It could not do this without the authorization of the parliaments of member countries, a referendum or popular consultation.
The Parliament of the Union judges the events with a double standard, it ignores the decisions of the parliaments of the sovereign countries. Parties treat the composition of the European Commission as a bargain by throwing democracy in the way.
We need a strong, smart Europe that provides security for its people. The era of counter-selected politicians who can be bought is over. The European Parliament elections are not only a wish to assert the interests of the people, but also a historically irreversible opportunity.
On the initiative of Hungarian and Polish civil communities, we invite the active citizens of Europe to exercise civil control.
On April 25-26, 2019, we founded the European Union Civil Cooperation Council (EuCET) in Budapest.
Let's take control of our destiny.
Let us show the civil courage that can constructively change the political atmosphere of our continent according to the wishes of the 12 points listed below. Even between election cycles, let's make them feel that we have the intellectual and operational ammunition to operate civil control.
What does serving the principle of popular sovereignty require?
- We wish for freedom of the press at the European level, an end to the censorship of "political correctness"!
- A responsible Commission in Brussels, committed to all of us!
- Based on the principle of popular sovereignty, the assertion of national sovereignty in Europe!
- The union should support and protect families, respect regional interests, and accept well-founded aspirations for autonomy!
- The strengthening of direct democratic means, the citizen-centered reform of the European Citizens' Initiative!
- Order, the safety of citizens, the elimination of illegal migration and the firm protection of external borders!
- Fair public burden-bearing, with the regulated contribution of financial organizations and multis!
- Healthy foreign and security policy, sane cooperation with all the nations of the world!
- Let's all stand up and protect the cultural identity of Christian-based modern Europe!
- Let the Union regain the support of the citizens, respecting the subsidiarity of people and communities!
- The patronage of patriots - the support of national civil communities that truly represent the interests of the people!
- Brussels should not make a difference in the support of civil communities, in the provision of financial resources for pro-immigration and anti-immigration! The Rights and Values Fund cannot serve the interests of the parties!
